Student's office provides encouragement, support services, and resource identification for multicultural students at Beijing Foreign Affairs University of Economics. By working with the students on an individual basis, the SO seeks to address the needs and concerns of all students and to help them adjust to college life. SO provides personal assistance in areas such as housing, health care, transportation, job information, banking, and child care, academic counseling, scholarship and grant information, and academic tutoring.
SO is devoted to promoting cultural awareness, sensitivity, and understanding among students, faculty, and staff. Through extra-curricular activities and formal gatherings, the office strives to emphasize and enhance the diversity of the BFAUOE. The students enjoy social activities such as movies, ice-skating, bowling, skiing, and pizza parties. The community participates and shares in ethnic and cultural events such as multicultural socials, potlucks, and cultural awareness workshops.
